OBJECTIVE
Design a graphic interpretation of a creature with distinguishable characteristics, creating a form language and underlying structure for the logo mark. Basic graphic elements and attributes were necessary to distinguish the tangible and intangible characteristics of the creature.
RESEARCH + SKETCHES
The Philippine Tarsier is known for its large, mysterious eyes and small stature. To the public, it's a cute but unsettling creature, so incorporating that sense of fear into the design was necessary, whether that meant the creature itself looked fearful or created panic for those looking at it.
Tangible Characteristics: large eyes, long tail, knobby hands and feet, long ankles
Intangible Characteristics: spooky, shy, quiet, patient
Many experiments were conducted when trying to encapsulate their fearful energy while figuring out how to display their body in a simplified, but accurate way.
DIGITAL ITERATIONS
Using Illustrator, the proportion of the tarsier's body, hand structures, facial features, and tail details had gone through many iterations. Taking a step back and going back to research was an important step when deciding a more accurate direction with the creature mark.

BRAND WORDMARK + ITERATIONS
After finishing the creature mark, creating a brand featuring it was the next step. The idea of watching something was important, like a tarsier waiting for its prey. This turned into the idea of a home security system.
